Night walk
90-minute nocturnal walk for a group of 25–30 participants . New version created specifically for and around the PAV district. World premiere
“NIGHT WALK is an invitation to join a silent nocturnal walk for a group of 25–30 people. Following a collective warm-up for body and mind, we set off after the blue hour to encounter the darkness as it settles and the spaces it creates. In a world that is increasingly illuminated and monitored, we roam the PAV district together, alert and attentive, exploring the different temporalities that the night makes possible. We allow ourselves to be guided by its scents, its shadows and, above all, its sounds. NIGHT WALK is a journey through a fragment of the night, an environment that is above all sonic. Through a deliberately low-tech approach, this choreographic proposition reminds us that our bodies are powerful receptors of vibration—bodies capable of extraordinary listening, vast living ears. In the city, darkness is gradually eroded by artificial light until it almost disappears. That is precisely what is at stake in this walk through the district: it compels us to wander at the margins, along the edges of paths, in search of the last remaining pockets of darkness. The artistic approach lies in tracking down these shadowed spaces, slipping into them, merging with them for a moment, together and in silence, allowing the places themselves to reveal new dimensions.” — Eve Chariatte
