Eve Chariatte 

Biography

Eve Chariatte lives in Biel/Bienne and works across dance and somatic practices as a dancer, choreographer, artist-researcher and curator. At the heart of her practice lies an exploration of individual and collective bodies in relation to attentive listening to their environments, which forms the starting point for research and creation in a wide range of settings, both outdoors and in theatres. She created Suons! in 2019, followed by Au cœur nous préférons le diaphragme in 2021. Ce qu’on doit à la nuit premiered in 2024, and NIGHT WALK extends that research through the format of a guided nocturnal walk. Her current project, Can you hold my hand for a while?, investigates the body’s internal and external perceptions, the visible and the invisible, medicine, and practices of dissection. Since 2022, Gregory Stauffer and Eve Chariatte have jointly developed MALVAUX – Centre for Ecosomatic Explorations, an artistic research project based in a forest near Biel/Bienne. Their aim is to contribute to an emerging field of research at the intersection of art, ecology and society. From autumn 2026, Eve Chariatte will also co-curate cultural events at Ancienne Couronne in Biel/Bienne with the curatorial collective Keine Krone. She studied at SEAD in Salzburg and completed the EXERCE Master’s programme in Montpellier.
