Biography
danced stances is a Geneva-based collective working across artistic research and creation, led by Aurélie Dupuis and Zoé Lefèvre. Its work examines the movement of bodies, architectures and language, exposing their rigidities while celebrating their persistence and capacity to endure. Developed through collaborations with artists working in performance, dance and film, the collective takes performance as its primary medium. Since 2024, danced stances has created and presented a number of site-specific performances, including Essai de fatigue at Porteous and Date limite at La Marbrerie. The collective also made the film Demi-temps at the Stade de Genève with lisa laurent and Nathalie Berger, presented as part of the PAV Living Room festival. From 2025 to 2027, danced stances is developing the artistic research project Choréopolice/Choréopolitique, which forms the basis of the video and performance works presented at Dance First Think Later in 2026.
