Les Cinémas du Grütli

The Centre d’Animation Cinématographique (C.A.C.) association was set up in 1972, and the Cinémas du Grütli Foundation took over its heritage in 2011, preserving the premises, the spirit and the maxim: ‘give people to see, teach them to love’.

In more than 50 years of activity, the C.A.C.-Voltaire and then Les Cinémas du Grütli have attracted nearly 3 million spectators to more than 250,000 films, making an essential contribution to Geneva’s cultural life. Located in the heart of the city, in close proximity to major cultural institutions, the Cinémas du Grütli offer a varied and captivating programme that showcases both our cinematic heritage and new trends in world cinema.

The programming, geared exclusively towards the enjoyment of cinema in theatres and aimed at all audiences, is based around film clubs, meetings, repertory cycles, films for young audiences and art-house cinema from all over the world.
