Biography
Marie-Caroline Hominal, who trained at ZhDK Tanzakademie Zurich and the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance in London, has danced for Gisèle Vienne, Gilles Jobin, La Ribot, and Marco Berrettini. She created her first piece, Fly Girl, in 2008. Her projects take many forms, from a piece for one viewer, Le Triomphe de la Renommée (2013) to a performance-concert, Silver (2013), collaborations in duo with François Chaignaud, Duchesses (2009), then the triptych of collaborative pieces Hominal/, with respectively Markus Hörn (2018), Nelisiwe Xaba (2019), and David Hominal (2023), a performance in a stage/truck, Le Cirque Astéroïde (2020) or a performance for museums or other spaces, Euréka, c’est presque le titre (2021). Her work has been presented in Europe, Asia, and North and South America. In 2019, she received the Outstanding Female Dancer prize at the Swiss Dance Awards.
J’hésite entre Croquis et arabesque et la métamorphose will be presented at Quartier Danse Montréal in 2024 and at Tandem scène nationale Arras–Douai in 2025.
