Biography
Jérôme Leuba is a graduate of the École supérieure d’art visuel de Genève (now HEAD–Genève) and began his career making 16- and 35-mm films, as well as a feature-length film entitled Gaule in 2003. He has exhibited at MAMCO Geneva; Casal Solleric, Majorca; Martin Gropius Bau Berlin; Kunsthaus, Zurich; Profile Foundation, Warsaw; Modern Art Oxford, Ural Industrial Biennial Yekaterinburg, Russia; Kunsthalle Basel. He has held residencies in Paris, Berlin, and Johannesburg. He is a winner of the Swiss Art Prize, the Manor Cultural Prize, the Irène Reymond Prize, and the Liechti Foundation Prize.
He has produced two public art works in Geneva: Breath-Neons Parallax (2007) and Assemblage (2023). A monograph, battlefield, was published by JRP Ringier in 2013. He is a researcher and associate professor at the École de Design et Haute Ecole d’Art (EDHEA) in Sierre.
