Biography
Ensemble Batida thrives on projects, formats and collaborations. Their ongoing format crAsh-test/crAsh-son (launched in 2020) invites a guest artist to play a solo set, followed by an improvised second set with the ensemble. Batida has performed extensively in Geneva – at venues including cave12, AMR, Usine Parker, Pneu, Cathédrale Saint-Pierre, API, Fonderie Kugler, HEM, BIG and Victoria Hall – as well as at Fracanaüm, EPFL, MCBA, Théâtre 2.21 and Festival de la Cité in Lausanne, Gare du Nord in Basel, Sonic Matter in Zurich, Espace des Arts, La Péniche, Auditorium CRR in Chalon-sur-Saône, and Consortium/Ici l’Onde in Dijon, among others. In 2024, Ensemble Batida was associate artist of Ici l’Onde in Dijon.
